Christie Pearce's USA shirt, 1999 Women's World Cup

Former captain Christie Pearce represented the USA in five Women’s World Cup tournaments and four Olympic games and remains one of their most capped players, having represented the US a staggering 311 times; only Kristine Lilly has collected more caps.

The centre-half was part of the US Women’s National Team that went on to win the 1999 World Cup, though her playing time at the tournament was limited to 17 minutes when she came on as a substitute for Tiffany Roberts in a 3-0 win against North Korea.
