Christine Marie Arguello
Federal District Judge
1955 -
INDUCTED 2014
In 2008, Christine Marie Arguello became the first Hispanic United States District Court Judge for the District of Colorado.
As a young girl in Thatcher, Colorado, Christine dreamed big — she wanted to be a lawyer even though she had never met one. She had never heard of Harvard Law School, yet earned her degree there as the first Latina from Colorado. Success has followed her in every post in both private and public practice. Christine shares the secrets of her own success with hundreds of young people through her program “Law School Sí Se Puede,” (Yes, We Can Do It), which supports and prepares minority students for law school and beyond.
“You cannot be afraid to dream big and reach for the stars. But you can’t just dream, you have to work hard.” —Judge Christine Arguello
