Christmas card from the Gairsoppa

An Christmas card from 1940, found in the wreck of the SS Gairsoppa in 2011.

This lovely Christmas card has an illustration of a couple by a river encircled in red with the message ‘Wishing you all Happiness and the Best of Everything.’ Inside, the message continues: ‘A very Happy Christmas, There’s magic in the Greeting, Tho’ hand and Heart be wide apart, Old Friends in thought are meeting.’
