In the late 1990s, during the full sway of Alberto Fujimori’s dictatorship, Bryce produced this series as a commentary on the everyday events that characterized the dictatorial regime (1990–2000). Various events stand out from this period, such as the Japanese Embassy hostage crisis (1996) and the press coverage of this fact. the presence of the military and police in daily life, the characters in the shadows of power, changing customs and the status of the privileged sectors linked to global hegemony. This series summarizes the essence of a period characterized by violence and the exacerbated presence of the mass media, which was the source of most of these images.
