Church of Santa Barbara

The Church of Santa Barbara had its construction started in in 1775 by Cristóvão José Ferreira. The building took five years to be conclude. It holds a very simple facade, using materials such as adobe and soapstone. I stands over a hill, on the top of a 103-step-stair. The sculpture of Saint Barbara inside the church is from the local painter Veiga Valle.
