Church of St Clare in Nuremberg

Around 60 women, mainly from wealthy Nuremberg families, lived in St Clare's convent. They received an above-average education there in spiritual and secular areas. The importance of women's convents for education was significant at the time, so Caritas Pirckheimer fought for the continued existence of this female refuge.
