The chancel of the Church of St John Baptist dates to the 12th century. The impressive south porch was built in circa 1490 and was restored in 1831-33 and 1865-67, the latter by Sir George Gilbert Scott. Pictured behind the church is Abbey House that was built on the site of the former Cirencester Abbey. The house was demolished in 1964.
