The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in the town of Bilyi Kamen was built in 1613 with the support of Prince Yuriia Korybuta Vyshnevetskoho and his wife Teresa. The majestic church became and still is the architectural dominant of the former town and now the village. It is picturesquely located on a small hill in the middle of the surrounding plain, next to the main square. The church suffered considerable damage during the XVІІ century as a result of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people, as well as attacks by Turks and Tatars. But in 1737, this Roman Catholic church was reconstructed. It was at the time that it was decorated in the Baroque style and the building acquired a modern look. As of now, the church is a non-operational church and is in a critical condition, actually on the verge of irreversible destruction.
