Church of the Assumption

The Church of the Assumption is the oldest wooden church in Chortkiv and one of the oldest churches in all of Podillya. It was built in the 16th century by local masters in the Carpathian-Podilsk style typical for this region. In the temple's fraternity charter, this church exists ""since the foundation of this city."" The Church of the Assumption has persevered its authentic look, even though it was destroyed three times, because each time it was rebuilt without changes.
