Franco Maria Ricci's love for Bodoni is evident in his collecting passion.
Ricci's Bodonian collection is in fact second only to the (unreachable) historical ones, which were born when Bodoni was still alive. Some of these masterpieces are displayed to the public in the Masone Labyrinth Art Collection, such as 1811's "Cimelio Tipografico Pittorico". This book was printed to celebrate the birth of Napoleon and Marie Louise's son, and it's a volume of almost absolute rarity; it can be considered a "font catalogue", as well as a significant compositional challenge. The forty poetic compositions are in fact printed with forty different fonts, all within equal space.
