A boundary stone in dark limestone, dedicated to the ancient and complex deity Terminus, tutelary deity of the boundaries of fields and terminal stones, who together with Jupiter Optimus Maximus helps to ensure the preservation of the natural order of things. The feast of the Terminalia (23 February), similar to our New Year's Day, was dedicated to the god. Boundary stones were placed in strategic points of the centuriation, on the borders of private agricultural properties, but also on the edge of cities. This boundary stone probably indicated one of the boundaries of the ancient Regium Lepidi, however it was found far from its original location, so it is not possible to establish where this boundary was.
The inscription reads: “Deo Term[i]/no / dicatum” (“consecrated to the god Terminus”).
