'Circles' is a modern and poetical ballet which revolves around the possibilities of moving the body. For this ballet Glen Tetley used the composition 'Circles' (1960) by Luciano Berio, which is based on three poems by E.E. Cummings, 'Stinging', 'Riverly is a flower', and 'N(o)w'. Tetley attempts to reach a synthesis of body lines and the poetical composition of Berio; a synthesis of movement, word and music.
