The artist was invited to participate in the exhibition “Talavera Contemporánea” in 1999, painting four talavera piece.
Helen Joy Laville is Mexican nationalized artist, she started to paint here in Mexico. Besides painting she used to make printings, and illustrate books. Laville's work is known inside and outside of Mexico and is characterized for by her use of a cold color palette and large areas of color.
