Civil War Veteran Medal Commemorating the Peace Jubilee

Civil War Veteran Medal commemorating Peace Jubilee presented to William T. Rigby as an expression of appreciation for his support and promotion of this National Reunion and Peace Jubilee held in Vicksburg National Military Park in October 1917. This medal was presented to Rigby, a Civil War Veteran serving with Company B, Twenty-fourth Iowa Infantry, in October 1920 as he was the Resident Park Commissioner and later served as Chairman of Vicksburg National Military Park.
