An avid traveler, daring entrepreneur, and keen ambassador for Spanish cuisine, Clara María González de Amenzúa has left her mark with the creation of Alambique—a cooking school and kitchenware store that has played a key role in the evolution of cooking in Spain.
The best known names on the Spanish food scene have taught at Alambique, and still do. They include Alberto Chicote, Salvador Gallego, Benjamín Urdiaín, Carlos Posadas, Andrés Madrigal, Juanjo López Bedmar, Joaquín de Felipe, Ricardo Sanz, Sergi Arola, Jesús Almagro, Pedro and Marcos Morán, Javier Goya, María Marte, Manuel Domínguez, and more.
International chefs have also taught there, including Mark Furstenberg (judged best baker in the US in 2017 by the James Beard Foundation, and former baker at Chez Panisse); Christina Tosi (Milk Bar and MasterChef USA judge); Scott Hallsworth (Nobu London and Kurobuta); Tamasin Day-Lewis (English writer); and Moha Fedal (Dar Moha in Marrakech).
