Clarinet is a woodwind single reed mouthpiece instrument that has a straight cylindrical tube with a cylindrical bore and flared bell. Clarinet was found as early as 1733 and has its roots in the early hornpipes used in Ancient Greece, Middle East and Europe. Clarinet bodies are made from a variety of materials including wood, resin and ivory. Clarinet has been found on Karnatik and Hindustani concert platforms.
