Born in Garnant in 1908 and died in Brecon in 2001, Claude Davey was centre three quarter of great talent in the 1930s. Davey played his club rugby for Sale and Swansea and gained 23 Welsh Caps. He captained Wales 8 times, including leading his country to victory over New Zealand in 1935.
