This clay figurine was excavated from a stone-chamber tomb in Yonggang-dong in 1986. In fact, 28 pieces of both male and female clay figurines and seven pieces of a bronze statue of the twelve deities were found in the stone chamber tomb in Yonggang-dong. Among the discovered items was this clay figurines representing a civilian official wearing a double-layered hat. The fingers of the two hands are clearly marked and joined at the center with a hand-piece. A thick beard covers the lower part of the face, and the pronounced nose, tightly drawn lips, and closed eyes are reminiscent of a person from the Middle East. There are pendants hung from the hand-piece, and they are knotted with a belt that extends from the back in a V-shape. The lower part of the figurine expands into a cone-shape, and the entire body was covered in white clay and then colored red.
