Clearing Fields

Taking the format of an antique wallpaper, contemporary images from magazines and newspapers are cut-and-pasted into the repeating landscape vignettes. The images include soldiers at Kosovo Liberation Army checkpoint, a member of the Swedish Explosive Ordinance Disposal platoon engaged in mine sweeping while a farmer plows, and British troops clearing the fields after Protestants had set camp after being blocked from marching through a Catholic neighborhood. Printed in shades of blue.
