This red leather Kalex World Clock (Serial #102056) was a gift to President Truman from his cabinet in 1950. The gold embossing on the back reads, “To President Harry S. Truman, with season’s greetings, from his cabinet, Christmas 1950.” President Truman was interested in the concept of time and surrounded himself with clocks.
The clock was manufactured by the Kalex Corporation in New York, NY and purchased from Grape & Cop Jewelers, Washington, DC.
