Cloud chamber photograph of the first positron ever observed

Card D. Anderson was an American physicist who discovered the anti-electron (positron) in 1932, by observing cosmic rays passing through a cloud chamber and a lead plate. The ion trail left by the positron curved in a magnetic field in a direction that showed its charge was positive.
