Dr. Irving Langmuir, Dr. Bernard Vonnegut, and Vincent Schaefer of the General Electric Research Laboratory peer into a modified GE freezer to examine snow made by Schaefer. The snow making in the laboratory led to the creation of the Project Cirrus cloud seeding project.
