CLUTCH

A simple clutch is made extraordinary by its woven silk and metal fabric. History as escapism offered an antidote to the crushing economic times of the 1930s. France’s medieval past is evoked here with woven heraldic shields topped by golden crowns. Although historical in appearance, the fabric is machine-stitched over a card mount and contains an integral mirror.
