The Coast Redwood, a species of coniferous tree found along the west coast of the USA, can grow to a height of more than 100 meters and achieve a trunk diameter of up to seven meters. The oldest know trees have an age of 2,200 years. The wood of this species counts among the most valuable timber and is known as Redwood Sequoia.
