Coffee percolator

WMF1920/1929

NEMO Science Museum

NEMO Science Museum
Amsterdam, Netherlands

The predecessor had a burner fitted underneath, but this percolator can be electrically heated. The water is heated in the bottom of the jug, and the pressure forces it to rise to the top, where it drips onto the coffee filter. Then the coffee drips out of the bottom of the filter into the jug and the coffee can be poured. The chrome-plated coffee jug with glass lid has two legs from which it hangs on the stand.
