The circular coffee serving cloth has a lobed edge encircled by small leaf motifs, from which small and large roses, wild flowers, wheat ears and leafy curving stems sprout towards the central rosette, filling the surface. The use of various materials and techniques gives the embroidery a rich and lively appearance. The combination of yellow and white notched spiral wire on some of the motifs creates a shimmering effect, and some of the motifs are worked entirely in sequins or wire. The cloth is edged with a fringe of yellow and white metal-wrapped thread.
