A basket made in September, 1921 by weaver Maggie Mayo James (1870-1952), a member of the Washoe tribe who lived in Carson City, Nevada. Maggie's Washoe name was Day ge Coop, and her Piaute name Neaught. The Basket features a two rod and bundle triangular foundation, stitches split above on the inside, and a regular coiled border. There are 17 stitches to the inch. The bowl presents two alternating pairs in black and dark wine color of an "Assemblage of men", butterflies, signal fires, an arrows (pointing up).
