Herennius Etruscus co-ruled with his father, Trajan Decius. The coin depicts Herennius Etruscus, full name Quintus Herennius Etruscus Messius Decius, wearing the spiked crown of Helios, the sun god. The son of emperor Trajan Decius, he was elevated to Caesar in 250 and then to Augustus in 251. He co-ruled with his father until they were both killed in the Battle of Abritus.
