Colin Blakeley as Philoctetes in a version adapted by Keith Johnstone and directed by William Gaskill. Keith Johnston's vigorous version of the text was directed by William Gaskill in a naturalistic style, he comments in the programme that Philoctetes is a play not "about man against the gods, but... man against man".
