Color Palette Used for "Trasparenti"

This image shows a color palette used in the creation of the Trasparenti of Mendrisio. The pigments are selected to ensure both strong color quality and the transparency required for internal illumination. The selection and preparation of the colors reflect a craft tradition passed down over time, in which painting technique and luminous effect are closely interconnected. The Trasparenti are an integral part of the Holy Week Processions of Mendrisio, a tradition that takes place every year before Easter.
