"Man is primarily a social being. In this context, Duravcevic's work Come mi manchi conveys the inherently human need for communication, dialogue, exchange of messages. The artist creates a drawing – the imprint of an inscription, a love letter to a certain Maria, carved in the stone of a Venetian Renaissance palace. Regardless of the way in which it is rendered, this message does not lose the meaning it has carried throughout the centuries. Its meaning is the same today as it once was. Whichever path may we choose, the longest and often the most difficult one is the path of self-realization, the one that leads from the mind to the heart and back again."
