This poster, Come Out to Live, was published by London Transport (L.T.) to promote the use of season Tickets, particularly for daily commuting from the suburbs into the City. It features a design by Paul Nash. A painted suburban scene is contrasted with a black and white photo of the Royal Exchange in The City. A train Ticket links the two images. Nash was a renowned landscape artist, book illustrator and theatre designer. He was a member of the London Group and a tutor at the Royal College of Art during the 1920s and 30s. London Transport commissioned from him a moquette design for the proposed 1938 stock and several poster designs.
