Medal has Western Australia's coat of arms and state flower on front and "COMMEMORATIVE MEDAL" around perimeter on obverse and "1962/VII BRITISH EMPIRE AND COMMONWEALTH GAMES/PERTH/WESTERN AUSTRALIA" on reverse. Medal is bronze metal with light brown patina.
