An 'oblong' bronze commemorative medal presented to Australian Team Member, Les Harley, boxer, at the British Empire Games in Sydney. The medal features seven shields bearing sporting scenes, an image of the Sydney Harbour and Harbour Bridge, and text stamped in relief, "BRITISH / EMPIRE / GAMES / of 1938 / SYDNEY / AUSTRALIA". The obverse features a stamped, raised image of Australia on circular background, and sprays of wattle.
