Community Slab

This slab displays a rich sample of a seafloor community of animals that lived below the reach of fair-weathered waves. Key members of the Ediacaran biota are evident in this slab ; Arborea, Dickinsonia, Kimberella, Spriggina, Parvancorina and Tribrachidium. These animals were preserved where they lived on a dense microbial mat.
