The 44th National Exhibition of Art, 1998
3rd Prize, Bronze Medal Award in Mixed Media

The National Exhibition of Art is the oldest national competition stage of Thailand that has been organized constantly until now. It aims to encourage Thai artists to produce painting, sculpture, prints and multimedia works which present their artistic skills. Gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal award-winning works will become the property of Silpakorn University, who reserves the right to promote works in all channels.

Roong Trirapichit is a mixed media artist whose work has been recognized and awarded. Inspired by surrounding technological objects such as machines and engines, he used steel plates, iron and bronze pieces from these sources as opposed to natural materials to substitute colors and lines that could be created by brushes. With every detail combined, his composition was beyond common two-dimensional visual art, reflecting individual art concepts distinct from others.
