"Composición" is made on paper with color pencil, graphite and ink, support and materials common in the architectural studios where Matta began his career as an artist and which are present throughout his production. In "Composición" the straight lines have great prominence; diagonal lines that coincide at various points within the surface and that we can read as vanishing points. In addition to these lines, several concentric circles reinforce the impression of spatial gaps. In this way we rediscover the problematic of space, so present in the artist's works, especially in his New York period. Different horizons to account for a space that is beyond the three traditional dimensions.
