The system random access memory (RAM, Random Access Memory) provide the ability to store and read data at a constant speed regardless of the location of this information or previous position read / write. Another feature of computer memories RAM is volatile which means that information is lost when power supply stops.
These memories, like other computer technology, have seen enormous progress since the first devices appeared in the mid-twentieth century. In the early days, the late forties and early fifties, these memories were made up of arrays of ferrite cores. In 1968 the patent was constituted for the first integrated memory with semiconductor technology invented two years earlier by Dr. Robert Dennard. This new technology would facilitate a significant increase in performance and miniaturization.
In this case it is a memory card ferrite cores, the card comes TELESINCRO company dedicated to computer (making billers) during the sixties and seventies of the twentieth century. Bears a label with the name J.Jardi (probably the engineer who designed it).
