On the reverse of this piece, the image of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is prominent. Her head is surrounded by seven stars and her hands are raised close to her chest. She stands upon the crescent and the globe – inscribed 1648 – crushing a serpent beneath her feet. Around her appear symbols such as the sun, a mirror, a garden, the House of Gold, a fountain, and the Ark of the Covenant. The border is simple, formed by a plain circular rim.
