What does this sculpture remind you of? The uneven shape is inspired by natural objects. Norie Hatakeyama created this sculpture by weaving and plaiting together recycled paper strips. She is influenced by Hisako Sekijima, one of Japan’s leading basket makers. Sekijima pioneered the use of basket-making as a medium for sculpture.
