The fortified church in the village of Alma Vii, with its characteristic defensive enclosure and raised choir, is an exceptional example of a building type associated with the ethnic German Saxons who had settled in southern Transylvania beginning in the mid-12th century. The AFCP project involved the conservation of the single-nave church exterior and roof.
