Madame Handley-Seymour used this toile to refine the shape and fit of the Queen's Coronation dress. The painted design for the embroidery represents the emblems of countries including the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. The final gold embroidery was created by the Royal School of Needlework. Conservator Elizabeth Thompson from Historic Royal Palaces, adjusts the toile for display.
