Construction begins to wrap up at the Propellants North Administrative and Maintenance Facility in the Launch Complex 39 area of NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. On the left is the facility's single-story shop, which will be used to store cryogenic fuel transfer equipment. On the right is a two-story administrative building that will house managers, mechanics and technicians who fuel spacecraft at Kennedy.

The facility is striving to qualify for the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification, which is the highest of LEED ratings. The facility, set to be complete in December 2010, was designed for NASA by Jones Edmunds and Associates. H. W. Davis Construction is the construction contractor. Photo credit: NASA/Frankie Martin
