This work presents an anthropomorphic figure, a being composed of an infinity of symbolic elements that configure the idea of "Cosmic Man" by José Gurvich. Black and white colored notes contrast with each other, structuring the panel in different levels and generating an ambiguity between the figure and the background that makes the silhouette of the man alternate with the symbols that compose it. This principle to which the artist resorts is not merely geometric or structural, but responds to a philosophical concept: that of Unity or the Whole. This personification of unity is taken from the spiritualist and constructive rationalist paradigm, transmitted by his teacher Joaquín Torres García. The perpetual, eternal and universal man is expressed in an abstract-geometric language and unfolds over the work, showing us in its interior a plot of meanings that define a special relationship between the figure and the small details that compose it.
