Contax IIa

After World War II, the management of the Zeiss Ikon works relocated company headquarters from Dresden to an earlier branch factory in Stuttgart. Once camera production was allowed again for the civilian market in the American-occupied zone following the currency reform, the Contax IIa was manufactured at the site between 1950 and 1958 as a copy of the pre-war Contax II of 1936.
