These items, carried by Abraham Lincoln on the night of his assassination, were given to his oldest son, Robert Todd Lincoln. The collection includes: folding and non-folding spectacles with their cases; a chamois lens polisher; an ivory pocketknife; a gold quartz watch fob; an Irish linen handkerchief; a cufflink; and a silk-lined, brown leather wallet containing a pencil and a Confederate five dollar bill—the last item perhaps kept as a reminder of his recent trip to the fallen Confederate capital, Richmond.
