Cooking Crystals Expanded is the unfolding of the work shown at the 3rd Biennial of Contemporary Art of Moscow in 2009. The crystals and the liquids that compose the installation are understood as extensions of the origin, of the transformation of corporeal secretions and fluids, within the organism’s metabolic functioning. There is also the presence of the alchemical flasks and the net, common objects in other artist’s productions. These laboratory recipients allude to an environment of transportation that pervades the entire work. According to Tunga, the work can be considered as a “logical constellation, a metabolic zone, a magnetic field, a crystallographic structure, a cloud of connection or a scatological nebula”.
