Portion of a cope (religious vestment) with ornate gold embroidery. The fabric is two pieces of purple silk velvet sewn together with a wide border of embroidered flowers and vines and six medallions inside the border at each corner and in the center of the longer length. The flowers and medallions have inset small pieces of red velvet. There are embroidered details in blue, purple, white, and orange thread. The piece is mounted in a gold painted wood frame.
