Romero de Torres was a big fond of the Flamenco , he felt “ la copla “ like none , perpetuating it in his painting by a genial way . He uses adornments from Andalusian flamenco , environment which he developed his own way of being in , Ramon Perez de Ayala wrote that the Julio Romero´s painting had to be commented with coplas. He becomes incarnate “la copla “ in a beautiful woman , the model Josefa Suarez Paria
Who appears in the composition with light and firm step , crosses landscape and moves forward holding the guitar up.
She puts silk stockings with dark garter on her legs where the brightness of a penknife In the back ground of the painting the eternal scene of the landscape of Cordova: the Guadalquivir river , the Roman bridge and the Calahorra castle.
