Copper beech trees in our Arboretum

Copper beeches (Fagus sylvatica) were known to the Germans in the 15th century. Mutants of the species appeared all over Europe over the past few centuries. The trees are often planted in parks and gardens. But some find the leaves a bit unattractive, even dull. What do you think?
